Um Ji-yoon Faces Backlash Over Fake Wedding Skit with Kim Won-hoon
Um Ji-yoon revealed she received negative comments regarding her fake wedding video with Kim Won-hoon.

On the October 25th episode of MBC's variety show 'The Manager', the behind-the-scenes of Um Ji-yoon's massive fake wedding event was unveiled. The event, which was part of the viral 'Long-term Relationship' skit by Short Box, attracted significant attention. The star-studded lineup included host Lee Soo-geun, mothers Lee Myung-hwa (Lalal) and Na Bo-ram, 'Dress Aunt' Park Se-mi, congratulatory videos from Yoo Jae-suk and Shin Dong-yup, and performances by Jung Seung-hwan, Heize, and Paul Kim. Their dedicated performances created an unforgettable skit exclusively for fans.

However, there was backlash. Since Kim Won-hoon is married, the skit received negative comments. Um Ji-yoon expressed, "It's stressful these days. It feels like an affair," adding, "People send DMs asking, 'Is Kim Won-hoon's wife an angel?' or 'Did you get permission from Kim Won-hoon's wife?'" Kim Won-hoon clarified, "That's not true. My wife finds the event amusing and even wanted to attend the wedding."

The conversation also touched on the topic of wedding gifts at Kim Won-hoon's actual wedding. When asked who gave the most, Kim Won-hoon said, "Senior Shin Dong-yup gave the most, almost 100 million won. He's very generous. I actually expected 1 billion won," he joked.

From a rookie comedian who lost her stage to a leading content creator and 'sub-character goddess', Um Ji-yoon's journey of perseverance was evident. After the sudden cancellation of 'Gag Concert', she found her footing on YouTube with the help of seniors Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se. Her hyper-realistic acting won over fans, and she was moved to tears by their overwhelming support. She expressed her gratitude by donating 30 million won to soon-to-be-married couples. "I hope 'Long-term Relationship' continues as 'Long-term Couple'," said manager Kim Se-hyang, with the panelists supporting the idea of expanding the content to cover everything from parenting battles to twilight years in a nursing home.
