Emotional Reunion: Yoo Yeon-seok Chooses His Father's True Heart Over Manipulated Testimonies in 'Shin-i-rang Law Office'

Yoo Yeon-seok, overwhelmed with resentment and confusion over his father's reappearance, chose to believe in the genuine heart of his father he remembered, rather than manipulated testimonies from others, leading to a tearful reunion.

On the 14th episode of SBS's 'Shin-i-rang Law Office' (directed by Shin Jung-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Chul-kyu), aired on the 25th at 9:50 PM, Shin Yi-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) faced the harsh truth upon realizing that Shin Ki-jung (played by Choi Won-young) was his father.

In this episode, Shin Yi-rang attempted to uncover the truth about his father by tracing the past actions of Shin Ki-jung, who was the prosecutor in the Yoon Dae-myung case, but was met with disappointing testimonies.

Despite trying to push Shin Ki-jung away with harsh words, unaware of his true identity, Shin Yi-rang broke down in front of his father's pure soul, who expressed regret and gratitude while calling him a good person. Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som) discovered the reason behind Shin Yi-rang's solitary suffering and offered her support, becoming a great source of strength for him.

Shin Yi-rang visited Incheon Chinatown to verify the truth about his father, only to encounter testimonies portraying Shin Ki-jung as a corrupt prosecutor. However, it was revealed that this was a scheme orchestrated by Yang Byung-il (played by Choi Kwang-il), who feared the reunion of Shin Ki-jung and Shin Yi-rang. Yang Byung-il went to extreme lengths, including imprisoning and assaulting a shaman, to conceal the past truth. Despite the negative evaluations from those around him, Shin Yi-rang recalled his father's warm voice from when he was alive, who promised to believe in him until the end. Choosing to trust the true nature of his father that he experienced firsthand over others' unilateral claims, Shin Yi-rang made a significant decision.

Towards the end of the episode, Shin Yi-rang, suppressing his overwhelming emotions, called out Shin Ki-jung's name and officially acknowledged him as his father.

Shin Yi-rang tearfully declared, "I will believe in the you that I know and have experienced," clearly stating Shin Ki-jung's birth date and name, confirming their father-son bond. Shin Yi-rang's restored trust in his father signaled a direct confrontation against the massive conspiracy set by Yang Byung-il, raising anticipation for how the father and son will uncover the truth of the past in future developments.
