Kim Jae-hwan Teases Wanna One Reunion on 'Knowing Bros', Excites Fans

Kim Jae-hwan, a former member of the popular K-pop group Wanna One, has stirred excitement among fans by discussing the group's reunion on the JTBC variety show 'Knowing Bros'.

The episode, which aired on the 25th, featured a 'High Note Singers' special with guests Kim Jong-seo, Kang Kyun-sung, Lim Jeong-hee, Wendy, and Kim Jae-hwan.

During the show, Kim Jae-hwan proudly shared his nickname 'Suneolbang-eum' (Innocent Face with a Wild Voice) and revealed, "When I first started singing, my range was around G and F# in the second octave, but after participating in 'Produce 101 Season 2', my vocal range expanded."

He added, "Now I can reach C and D in the third octave," explaining how practice helped him improve his skills. Kim Jong-seo advised, "It's possible if you reduce reliance on the vocal cords and practice breathing techniques," while Wendy agreed, "Singing is like a muscle, and consistent practice is crucial."

Kim Jae-hwan showcased his talent by performing an ad-lib part from Wanna One's song 'Energetic', which he noted was one of the highest parts he sang.

In celebration of Wanna One's 7th anniversary, Kim Jae-hwan announced their comeback, saying, "Wanna One is coming back. We're starting again step by step, beginning with a reality show," and expressed his hopes for support.

Wanna One was formed in 2017 through Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2', consisting of 11 members including Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon.

The group gained explosive popularity upon debut, earning the title 'Nation's Idol'. They concluded their official activities with a concert in January 2019, after which members pursued solo and group activities under their respective agencies.

Now, nearly seven years later, the group is reuniting, drawing significant attention from fans. The reunion will be showcased in Mnet's new variety show 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base'.
