Kim Dae-ho Returns to 'Immortal Songs' with Heartfelt Family Stories and Solo Life Revelations
KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' is a premier music entertainment program with a history spanning over 700 episodes. The 753rd episode, airing today (25th), is a 'Family of Announcers Special,' featuring six witty announcer families, including Kim Dae-ho's family, Kim Hyun-wook and Kim Sun-geun, Park So-hyun and her husband, Park Tae-won’s family, Park Chan-min’s family, and Wang Jong-geun’s family. Additionally, 'KBS's flagship announcer' Um Ji-in joins as a special MC to support her fellow announcers, raising expectations.
Among them, Kim Dae-ho, who caused a stir in the '2025 Rising Stars Special' last year, returns to 'Immortal Songs' after a year, drawing attention. During his previous appearance, Kim Dae-ho, shortly after declaring his freelance status, made headlines by stating, "I will become KBS's second son." On this day, Kim Dae-ho shares, "I think I received good vibes after appearing on 'Immortal Songs' last time," and adds, "It's been a little over a year since I left, and I'm doing well," revealing his current freelance life. In response, 'freelance life seniors' Kim Hyun-wook and Kim Sun-geun express their envy, joking, "Even now, we regret leaving," causing laughter around them.
On this day, Kim Dae-ho's family showcases their strong family bond, drawing attention. Kim Dae-ho reveals a behind-the-scenes story of how he became an announcer thanks to his brother Kim Sung-ho. Kim Sung-ho shares, "While serving as a career soldier, Dae-ho contacted me saying, 'I want to try being an announcer, but I have no money.' It was the first time he talked about his dreams, so I was very happy. It was around the time I received my holiday bonus, so I gave it to him for his announcer academy registration fee," and Kim Dae-ho adds, "I paid him back generously with interest," bringing a warm smile.
Kim Dae-ho's family performs Kim Soo-hee's 'Affection' on stage. 'Affection' is his mother's favorite song, reflecting the hardships she endured to raise her sons. The harmony of the grown brothers and their mother is expected to create a touching and meaningful stage.
'Immortal Songs' airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM on KBS 2TV.
