Jeon Soo-kyung Reunites with Husband Eric Swanson After Three Years Apart

Jeon Soo-kyung, who remarried an American, revealed that she has been living apart from her husband, Eric Swanson.

On the September 29th episode of TV CHOSUN's variety show 'Dad and Me Season 3,' Jeon Soo-kyung's optimistic and cheerful 97-year-old father reunited with her foreign husband, Eric Swanson, after three years.

Upon hearing the news of his son-in-law's visit, Jeon Soo-kyung's father went all out, shaving his face and applying lotion to look his best. Eric, who is the General Manager of the Intercontinental Hotel and currently working in Taiwan, has been in a long-distance marriage with Jeon Soo-kyung. Jeon Soo-kyung's father eagerly welcomed his son-in-law with open arms, almost lifting him off the ground in a hug. Eric showed natural affection by rubbing his father-in-law's belly. Eric commented, "I checked his strength and overall health through the hug, and he's still in great shape," to which Jeon Soo-kyung's father responded, "It's electrifying. This is why I want to meet him."

When Eric presented gifts and pocket money from Taiwan, Jeon Soo-kyung's father, known for being frugal, surprisingly declared, "I'll treat you not just for lunch today but until you leave." However, the trio ended up at a budget-friendly Korean buffet costing only 8,000 won per person. Jeon Hyun-moo humorously remarked, "You said you'd treat us to lunch, and you brought us here?" Jeon Soo-kyung, curious about how her father and husband would interact in her absence, deliberately left the table. Without Jeon Soo-kyung to translate, the two struggled to communicate, each speaking their own language. Eric then used an AI translator to bridge the language gap.

Eric said, "I've been watching 'Dad and Me' with you," and when the AI translated it into Korean, Jeon Soo-kyung's father amusingly replied, "He knows I'm on TV?" Eric was finally able to express what he had wanted to say, thanks to the AI translator. Jeon Soo-kyung felt proud seeing her father and husband communicate and spend time together even in her absence.

Later, Eric took his father-in-law, who loves singing, to a karaoke room. Eric joined in the fun, dancing to the rhythm of Jeon Soo-kyung's father's songs. During their time there, veterans, friends of Jeon Soo-kyung's father, arrived. Jeon Soo-kyung's father had invited them to boast about his son-in-law. Despite being a 'power introvert,' Eric did his best to match the lively atmosphere. Eric shared, "Watching my father-in-law sing and bond with his old friends, I realized how deep a person he is. I was deeply moved and surprised."
