KBS 2TV's New Drama 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' Premieres: A Tale of Rival Families and Budding Romance
KBS 2TV's new miniseries 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' is set to premiere on the 26th. The drama is a chaotic yet heartwarming family reboot story, centered around the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon, played by Park Sung-woong, who are thrust into the rural area of 'Yeonliri' and their struggles to return to Seoul.
On the 16th, the production team released stills featuring the 'newcomer' Seong Tae-hoon's family, who are unexpectedly relocated to Yeonliri, and the long-standing residents, the family of Im Joo-hyung, played by Lee Seo-hwan. The intriguing dynamics captured in the stills already heighten anticipation for the series.
Seong Tae-hoon, who has moved to Yeonliri to farm cabbages in hopes of returning to Seoul, immediately clashes with Im Joo-hyung, the village's long-time resident. Their contentious relationship, fueled by a connection to Seong Tae-hoon's company 'Matstory', promises to add excitement to the drama's narrative.
Additionally, Seong Tae-hoon's wife, Jo Mi-ryeo, played by Lee Soo-kyung, and Im Joo-hyung's wife, Nam Hye-seon, played by Nam Kwon-ah, will engage in their own rivalry within the village's women's association, adding further excitement to the plot.
'Simu-myeon Yeonliri', set to captivate Thursday night audiences, is directed by Choi Yeon-soo, known for '24-Hour Fitness Club', 'Crazy Love', and 'The Ballot', and co-written by Song Jeong-rim, known for 'Let's Get Married, Mangpong!', and Wang Hye-ji, known for 'Romance Without Love'.
KBS 2TV's new miniseries 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' premieres on the 26th at 9:50 PM.
