K-Pop Star Nam Gyu-ri Charms Fans with Her First-Ever DIY Car Wash Adventure

K-pop singer and actress Nam Gyu-ri delighted fans with her quirky and adorable charm as she attempted her first-ever DIY car wash for her decade-old beloved car.

On October 8, Nam Gyu-ri's official YouTube channel, 'Nam Gyu-ri's Gyul-mung,' released a video titled 'Ep.37 Nam Gyu-ri's Late-Night DIY Car Wash Adventure! Washing My Beloved Friend Boong-Boong.'

In the video, Nam Gyu-ri heads to a self-service car wash late at night with her car 'Boong-Boong,' which has been with her for 10 years. She explained, 'I had a minor accident today due to my carelessness. Thankfully, it was resolved, but it was a shock. I'm here to give my car a nice bath after the scare and trouble it went through today.'

Facing unexpected challenges during her first hand wash, Nam Gyu-ri's struggles brought laughter. She fumbled with the car wash equipment and was pushed around by the heavy water pressure, joking, 'This feels like a fight.' Despite the initial chaos, she soon regained her enthusiasm, smiling brightly and saying, 'This is fun.'

While drying the car, she discovered scratches she hadn't noticed before due to her usual reliance on automatic car washes. She expressed deep affection, saying, 'You've been through so much with me for 10 years without being able to say you're hurt. I'm really sorry and grateful,' endearing herself to viewers with her quirky and cute demeanor.

The video also featured a surprise segment, 'What's in My Car,' revealing the contents of her car. Contrary to expectations of a glamorous actress's car, it was filled with humble items like a broken concealer, hair oil for rainy days, books and dolls gifted by fans, a beginner driver's apology note for snowy hills, and snacks.

Nam Gyu-ri proudly showcased her frugality by revealing a roll of toilet paper she carries to save on tissues, highlighting her down-to-earth and thrifty nature.

After completing the car wash, Nam Gyu-ri shared her heartfelt thoughts, saying, 'It was easier and more fun than I expected, and even touching.' She ended her day on a high note by enjoying a drive-thru burger as a late-night snack.
