Comedian Shingiru showcased her witty and engaging talk on the show 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret'.

On the October 27th episode of KBS 2TV's variety show 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret', Shingiru captivated the audience with her calm yet sharp wit. The show is Korea's first medical storytelling program that spans history, science, and humanities.

When asked by Jang Do-yeon if her appetite was good, Shingiru humorously replied, "It's at its peak these days," warming up her talk engine. Upon hearing that Henry VIII was slim in his youth but later reached 170kg, she joked, "I'm a born chubby," and added, "I followed the elite course as a childhood obesity alumnus," causing laughter among the audience.

Shingiru's humor was complemented by her empathetic side. When discussing the story of dogs running in a wheel to turn a spit in Henry VIII's kitchen, she expressed her dismay, saying, "That's too cruel." Regarding King Yeonsan's obsession with health foods and his early death at 31, she remarked, "Eating all those healthy foods meant nothing," resonating with viewers.

Despite the show's calm atmosphere, Shingiru skillfully added humor at the right moments. When hearing about a courtier criticizing King Sejong for eating pork, she humorously retorted, "That's harsh," drawing laughter. When asked what might have been developed to suit Sejong's taste, she whimsically suggested, "Tanghulu," and "Peking duck."

Shingiru also expressed her disappointment humorously when Chef Lee Won-il, who appeared on the show, didn't bring the Joseon-style chicken he cooked. She jokingly asked, "Why didn't you bring it?" eliciting laughter. When King Yeongjo's longevity symbolizing meal was mentioned, she playfully suggested, "Can we see that meal once?" but ended up only watching the VCR, leaving her mouth watering.

Towards the end of the show, Shingiru shared her thoughts, saying, "There are vague images we have about kings, and it was fascinating to see them unfold similarly to their dining habits." Her attitude went beyond mere entertainment, deeply resonating with the program's intended message.
