TV CHOSUN's weekend mini-series 'Dr. Shin' is set to accelerate its narrative with unique twists starting from episode 3.

Premiering on October 14, 'Dr. Shin' (written by Phoebe, Im Sung-han) is a medical thriller drama about a genius doctor challenging the realm of the divine and a woman losing her soul after a sudden brain injury. The first two episodes showcased a bizarre and unconventional storyline, flipping the traditional drama script on its head.

True to its billing as Phoebe's first medical thriller, 'Dr. Shin' captivated viewers with unexpected twists and bold developments stemming from Phoebe's unparalleled imagination. The drama breaks the mold of typical medical dramas with its forbidden 'brain change' surgery, leading to a series of unpredictable and shocking reversals. The narrative delves into human instincts and desires, from the emotionless genius doctor Shin Joo-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) and top actress Momo (played by Baek Seo-ra) to Hyun Ran-hee (played by Song Ji-in), who pleads for a brain change surgery for her comatose daughter.

'Dr. Shin' features Phoebe's signature dialogue style and inner monologue subtitles, enhancing the drama's appeal. Lines like "You must have thought about it, that method," and "Is it really that bad? Me?" showcase Phoebe's unique use of inverted syntax, adding flavor and focus to the scenes. The inner monologue subtitles, such as Momo's thoughts during her encounter with Shin Joo-shin, provide clear insight into the characters' emotions.

The drama uses a time-crossing structure to weave together the characters' intertwined events and psychological changes, effectively revealing the core story of Momo and Hyun Ran-hee's 'brain change' surgery. By alternating between the past, six months before Momo's scuba diving accident, and the present, the series heightens viewers' curiosity and tension.

The story begins when Shin Joo-shin, after watching Momo's film 'A Girl's Prayer,' asks James (played by Jeon No-min) to arrange a meeting with her. Despite Momo's initial disinterest, Shin Joo-shin persistently pursues her, eventually winning her over. Their romance blossoms, but tragedy strikes when Momo falls into a coma following a scuba diving accident. Desperate, Hyun Ran-hee asks Shin Joo-shin to perform a brain change surgery, leading to a dramatic outcome as Momo awakens post-surgery.

Shin Joo-shin's friend Ha Yong-jung and reporter Geum Bara, who shares a past with both, also face a tangled fate. Geum Bara, who once harbored a crush on Ha Yong-jung, finds herself in a tragic situation after the murder of their mutual acquaintance, Ji An-hee. The evolving relationship between Geum Bara and Ha Yong-jung remains a point of interest.

The production team promises that "Episodes 1 and 2 were just the beginning. From episode 3, the intense narrative of Phoebe's first medical thriller will unfold like a storm. Look forward to the innovative storytelling of 'Dr. Shin.'"
