Actor Jo Woo-jin Discusses Health Challenges Post-'Harbin' and New Role in 'Boss'

On the morning of the 1st, a production briefing for 'Boss' was held at Megabox Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Ra Hee-chan, Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung.
'Boss' is a comedic action film that depicts the intense competition among organization members who fiercely 'yield' the boss position to each other for their dreams, ahead of the next boss election. Jo Woo-jin plays Soon-tae, the second-in-command of the Siku faction, who runs a Chinese restaurant, Mimi Roo, aiming to become a nationwide culinary boss instead of the organization's successor.
Jo Woo-jin shared, "It was a project that sparked my adventurous spirit as an actor. It was a genre and work I had never done before, and I thought it would be an opportunity to show a different side of myself."
He continued, "The project I filmed before 'Boss' was 'Harbin'. It was a very heavy and dark work, and after immersing myself in the character, I had to consider my health. 'Boss' came at a time when I needed healing, and it was a blessed project."
'Boss' is set to be released during the Chuseok holiday.
