Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival Unveils Teaser Trailer Featuring Kim Tae-ri and Son Seok-gu
As the only genre-specific short film festival in South Korea, the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival is a prominent platform for emerging directors and actors in the Korean film industry. On April 30th, starting at 8 AM KST on Naver TV, the festival's official channel will unveil a teaser trailer packed with genre imagination and a stylish flair, marking the festival's official commencement.
Despite its brief 16-second runtime, the teaser trailer leaves a strong impression with its rhythmic editing, bold visuals, and witty setup, encapsulating the genre thrill and experimental style unique to the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. The sight of Kim Tae-ri nodding to the beat, combined with striking typography and fast-paced editing, boldly showcases the free form of short films. The caption '<Best Audience> Full version out May 7' adds an unpredictable twist to the video's kitschy mood, heightening curiosity for the full version.
The accompanying stills also stimulate diverse imaginations with their visuals and atmosphere. The image of Son Seok-gu wearing a deeply pulled-down hat and Kim Tae-ri's gaze at the screen, along with the two characters' backs in the theater, evoke the mood of a genre film, sparking curiosity. The full version of the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival trailer will be released on May 7 and will be shown as the opening video during the festival's screening period.
The Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival has continuously expanded the possibilities of short films through genre-based experimentation, discovering new faces in the Korean film industry.
