28th BIFF, 'Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora' Steven Yeun → Justin Jeon attends

'Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora' was planned to provide an opportunity to look in depth at the world of work by Korean-American filmmakers active in Hollywood and to provide an opportunity to reexamine the position of the American film industry.
This year's new film 'Zamozaya' (2023) by director Justin Jeon, who co-directed 'Fast Lives' (2023), a hot film at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and the drama 'Pachinko' (2022), which gave actress Yoon Yeo-jeong the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 93rd American Academy Awards. Director Lee Isaac Chung's 'Minari' (2020), director Lee Chang-dong's 'Burning' (2018), winner of the International Federation of Critics Award at the 71st Cannes Film Festival, 'Columbus' (2017), which features actor John Cho's passionate performance, and 'Search' ( As of 2018), a total of 6 movies can be seen. In addition to the film screening, Korean directors and actors who are establishing themselves in North America will visit Busan in person. Due to the current Screen Actors Guild strike, actors John Cho and Steven Yeun are unable to attend the GV.

At 5 p.m. on October 5, a GV will be held at CGV Centum City Hall 2 with Tae-oh Yoo of 'Fast Lives', which received an explosive response at this year's Sundance Film Festival, attending. At the 'Minari' GV held at the Busan Cinema Center's Middle Theater at 7 p.m., not only director Lee Isaac Chung, but also Yoon Yeo-jeong, Han Yeri, and producer Christina Oh will share rich behind-the-scenes stories about the work.
At the same time, John Cho will attend Actors House, the representative program of the Busan International Film Festival, at KNN Theater. John Cho will personally tell a variety of stories, including his acting theory and growth story, at Actors House. In addition, former director Justin will attend the 'Zamozaya' GV held at the Busan Cinema Center's small theater at 8 p.m. and meet the audience.

At 8 p.m., the GV for 'Minari' held at the Busan Cinema Center's Middle Theater will feature directors Lee Isaac Chung, Yeo-jung Yoon, and Christina Oh, and at 8:30 p.m., at Lotte Cinema Centum City Hall 4, the GV with Justin Jeon, director of 'Zamozaya', will be held. The 28th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from Wednesday, October 4 to Friday, October 13, around the Busan Cinema Center.
