Family of Late Taiwanese Actress Xu Xiyuan Denies Legal Dispute Rumors with DJ Koo Jun-yup
On October 10, some Taiwanese media outlets reported that DJ Koo Jun-yup, Xu Xiyuan's widower, was preparing for a legal battle with his mother-in-law over the late actress's inheritance. This report came shortly after a memorial statue unveiling ceremony marking the first anniversary of Xu Xiyuan's passing, which seemed to contradict the harmonious image presented at the event.
Reports also suggested that Xu Xiyuan's mother had hired a lawyer to address the situation.
In response, Xu Xiyuan's mother directly refuted the rumors, stating, "I despise lawsuits. They waste people's time and money. I now call Koo Jun-yup my son. He deeply loved my daughter and respects me. I love him too."
Xu Xiyuan's sister, actress Xu Xi-je, also commented, "Those who create such rumors have malicious intentions. My brother-in-law gave my sister pure love and true happiness. Our family is grateful to him. He is part of our family, and we will protect him and not harm him."
