Recently, Young-sook took to her Instagram story to directly address and dismiss the dating rumors that have been circulating online about her and Young-soo.
The rumors began when Kyung-soo, another contestant from the 28th season, posted a photo of Young-soo and Young-sook sitting together at a wedding invitation gathering for Young-ho and Ok-soon, who are also from the same season. The post included the caption, "Be happy, you two," which sparked speculation.
Despite congratulatory comments from fellow contestants like Jung-sook and Young-sik, Young-sook clarified that the photo was simply a candid shot taken among friends and not indicative of a romantic relationship.
Sharing the post that reported the rumors, Young-sook humorously set Busker Busker's 'Cherry Blossom Ending' as the background music and joked, "Please also report a breakup in two days." She further emphasized that Young-soo is still a popular bachelor and wished him well in finding a partner, making it clear that the dating rumors are unfounded. During the 28th season of 'I Am Solo', Young-sook had shown interest in Young-soo, but they did not end up as a couple. Instead, they have maintained a close friendship.
The reason this incident gained so much attention is that the 28th season is known for producing many real-life couples. Young-ho and Ok-soon are set to marry in May, having already registered their marriage. Sang-chul and Jung-sook announced a premarital pregnancy and are now married, while other couples like Young-sik and Hyun-sook, Young-chul and Young-ja, and Kwang-soo and Jung-hee have also formed.
Sun-ja is dating Mr. Kim from 'I Am Solo: Four Seasons', and Kyung-soo has revealed he is in a relationship with someone outside the show. With so many contestants finding love, public interest in Young-sook and Young-soo's relationship was inevitable.
Although Young-sook's proactive clarification has put the dating rumors to rest, the warm atmosphere of the wedding invitation gathering, showcasing the strong bonds among the contestants, continues to be a topic of interest among fans. While Young-sook and Young-soo did not become a couple, the supportive relationships among the contestants highlight the season's record-breaking couple success rate.
