Why Lee Young-ja and Jung Sun-hee Ended Their Friendship: A Revealing Conversation

Lee Young-ja (58) has revealed the reason behind her estrangement from Jung Sun-hee (54).

On the October 23rd episode of the tvN STORY variety show 'What to Do with the Leftovers,' Jung Sun-hee appeared as a guest.

Meeting for the first time in seven years, the two confessed to past conflicts. Jung Sun-hee admitted, "We lost contact in the middle because we fought," adding, "I should have taken my sister's side, but I spoke coldly."

Recalling the situation, she said, "My sister said, 'After all I've done for you,' and I replied, 'I was struggling too.' Then she said, 'Look at this, don't think of seeing me again.'" Jung Sun-hee added, "It was the first time I stood up to Young-ja. I hung up and wondered if I should apologize, but it just faded away."

The soy sauce marinated crabs that Lee Young-ja used to send also stopped coming. However, when Jung Sun-hee announced her marriage to the late Ahn Jae-hwan, Lee Young-ja reached out.

Jung Sun-hee shared, "After announcing my marriage, my sister said, 'You have a man? You're getting married? So you stood up to me because of this,' and it lightened the mood."

She continued, "When I said I was getting married, my sister cried. When introducing (Ahn Jae-hwan) over dinner, she said, 'If you make Sun-hee cry, I won't let it go,' which warmed the atmosphere."

Jung Sun-hee married Ahn Jae-hwan in 2007 but was widowed in 2008.
