Comedian Kim Ji-min Opens Up About the Challenges of IVF Treatment

Comedian Kim Ji-min recently shared her struggles with undergoing IVF treatment.

On October 23, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yup' released a video titled 'Even Shin Dong-yup Can't Handle This: A Spicy Talk Battle Among Married Couples.' The video featured Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-ho, who tied the knot in July last year, discussing various topics.

Shin Dong-yup opened the conversation by saying, "Kim Ji-min has become a chef, preparing meals for her husband." Kim Ji-min responded, "Since I'm undergoing IVF treatment, I can't drink alcohol, so I needed an outlet. They say if you don't find a way to release stress, you can get depressed. So, I decided to try cooking, and I got really into it."

Kim Jun-ho expressed his delight, saying, "They say I'll be relaxed in my old age." Shin Dong-yup humorously pointed to Kim Jun-ho's belly, joking, "I hope all of that is sperm since you're preparing for a baby," which brought laughter to the set.

Shin Dong-yup mentioned Kim Jun-ho's decision to quit drinking, saying, "Even when he was with Tak Jae-hoon and Sang-min, he said it was his last drink." Jeong Yi-rang added, "Every time I see him, he says it's the last time. Even last week, he said it was the last." Kim Jun-ho laughed and said, "Today is really the last drink. I have to make an adjustment on Monday. Today is truly the last."

Kim Ji-min also revealed that she is abstaining from alcohol alongside Kim Jun-ho. Jeong Yi-rang asked, "Can't you do it later? Why rush? Can't you delay it by a week?" Kim Ji-min explained, "You got pregnant naturally, so you don't understand the concept of IVF. If we delay, it sets us back a month."

They also discussed the challenges of IVF treatment. Kim Jun-ho said, "The IVF process is very tough on women. They have to get injections for 10 days straight." Kim Ji-min recalled, "I had to get injections twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. It doesn't hurt if you inject at a 90-degree angle."
