Actress Park Jin-hee has revealed that she married her judge husband, who is five years her junior, due to a pre-wedding pregnancy.
On the October 12th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problem Child in House,' Park Jin-hee and Kim Hee-jung appeared as guests.
Now in her 13th year of marriage, Park Jin-hee shared that she and her husband have been living apart during the weekends for a long time. She said, “I lived in Suncheon for two years and in Gwangju for another two years. I commuted back and forth for work. We've been living like this for nearly a decade. Nowadays, there's a system where judges with school-aged children can work two days at a court close to home.”
When asked if she argues logically with her judge husband, Park Jin-hee replied, “He might be logical in court, but he can't win an argument with his wife. How can a man win against a woman? I win all the time.”
Park Jin-hee, who married at the relatively late age of 36, said, “At that time, I was afraid to meet anyone. I thought I could live alone, but I met my husband through a blind date by chance.”
She continued, “It wasn't love at first sight for either of us. My husband thought I would be a princess type. He expected me to suggest going for coffee, but I suggested having a beer instead, which he really liked. We got close after that.”
The couple ended up getting married due to a pre-wedding pregnancy. Park Jin-hee explained that they moved up their wedding date after discovering she was pregnant, saying, “We decided not to tell our families about the pregnancy until after the wedding. However, when I first met my father-in-law, he told me to take care of myself. My mother-in-law nudged him. I asked my husband, and he denied telling anyone. Later, I found out he had told his brother, who then told his parents.”
