CGV announced on the 6th that it is holding a special exhibition of Italian opera master Puccini.
CGV collaborates with Kevin & Company, a company specializing in culture and art business, to hold a special exhibition titled 'Puccini Opera: The Transformation of Three Women', which will screen carefully selected works by Puccini, until August 1.
From July 6th to 18th, 'Tosca' will be screened. 'Tosca' is one of Puccini's three major operas, premiered in Rome in 1900 and is still a beloved work. Stage designer Martin Cousay's directing and tragic narrative harmonize, and soprano Christine Opolais' dramatic performance completes the play.
'Turandot', differentiated from other operas by Puccini with Chinese melodies, can be seen from July 20th to August 1st. German film director Philippe Stolzl was in charge of directing and stage design, and world-renowned conductor Zubin Mehta and prestigious German orchestra Berlin Staatskapelle performed.
From June 22nd to July 4th, 'Madame Butterfly' was screened. 'Madame Butterfly' is a work that Puccini adapted into an opera after seeing David Belasco's play and being impressed by the devoted love of the portrait of a geisha. This performance was held at the world's first lakeside opera festival 'Bregenz Festival'. The performance of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the stage on the lake stand out as a tragic love story.
