Kang Mina Opens Up About Missing I.O.I's 10th Anniversary Reunion and Her Evolving Career

Singer and actress Kang Mina recently shared her candid thoughts on her relationship with the members of I.O.I, following her absence from the group's 10th anniversary reunion.

In a recent interview at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Kang Mina discussed her role in the Netflix series 'Girigo' (directed by Park Yoon-seo).

'Girigo' is a YA horror series that follows high school students who receive a sudden death prediction due to a curse from the wish-granting app 'Girigo.' The series depicts their struggle to escape the curse. Kang Mina plays the role of Im Nari, a character who grew up in a wealthy environment and attracts attention wherever she goes due to her idol-like glamorous appearance.

Kang Mina expressed her regret over not participating in the I.O.I 10th anniversary reunion. She explained, "The friends are very busy. They are managing their schedules amidst their hectic lives, so I haven't reached out separately." She added, "When I post comments or posts on Instagram, we leave comments and likes on each other's reels, showing our support for one another."

Kang Mina also reflected on how her experience from audition programs has influenced her current career. She stated, "The experience of being on stage helps me feel less nervous during promotional activities or variety show recordings, rather than during acting scenes." She continued, "Actors get very nervous, but now I feel less anxious than before."
