Actress Park Won-sook Opens Up About the Loss of Her Son
On the 29th, a video titled 'Complete Interior Makeover: First Look at Park Won-sook's Namhae House' was uploaded on Kim Young-ok's YouTube channel.
In the video, Kim Young-ok visited Namhae to reunite with Park Won-sook, and the two engaged in a deep conversation amidst the scenic views of Namhae.
During the visit, Park Won-sook introduced the café she runs and shared updates about her life. When Kim Young-ok brought up her own experiences with marriage, Park naturally reflected on her past.
Park also spoke openly about the trauma that still intrudes on her daily life.
When Kim Young-ok cautiously asked, "Didn't your only son pass away while you were filming the drama 'Pearl Necklace'?" Park replied, "It's not about having only one; even if there were ten, it would be the same," conveying that the weight of losing a child is immeasurable.
Park had previously revealed on KBS2's 'Park Won-sook's Living Together' that "It might be because of the accident my son had. Unexpected accidents make me anxious."
She further confessed, "I feel like I haven't received true healing, as if the wound is still festering," expressing the enduring pain of a wound that hasn't healed even after more than 20 years.
Park Won-sook tragically lost her only son in a car accident in November 2003.
