There were no signs of forced entry or ransacking in the house. However, something that should have been noticeable disappeared along with the couple. The couple lived in a small village with only seven households. No one saw them leave, and no CCTV captured any suspicious activity.

The investigation team deployed search dogs and helicopters to scour the nearby hills and lake, but no trace of the couple was found. As the investigation stalled, a suspicious note discovered in the grandfather's notebook emerged as a new lead.

Kwak Sun-young expressed outrage over the motive behind the crime, stating, "It was something no better than a beast would say."

'Brave Detectives 5' airs every Friday at 9:50 PM.
