Kang Mal-geum Shares Her Experience Working with Oh Jung-se in New Drama 'Struggling with Worthlessness'
On the 17th, a press conference for JTBC's new weekend drama 'Struggling with Worthlessness' was held at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Cha Young-hoon and actors Koo Kyo-hwan, Go Yoon-jung, Oh Jung-se, Kang Mal-geum, Park Hae-joon, and Han Sun-hwa.
'Struggling with Worthlessness' follows the journey of a person who feels left behind among successful friends, battling jealousy and envy to find peace. The drama is a collaboration between director Cha Young-hoon of 'When the Camellia Blooms' and writer Park Hae-young, known for 'My Mister' and 'My Liberation Notes'.
Oh Jung-se plays Park Kyung-se, a successful director who has released five films. He described his character as someone who is admired by others but is constantly striving for more success. Oh noted, "I thought I was similar to Park Kyung-se, but the constant striving is not something I relate to."
Kang Mal-geum takes on the role of Go Hye-jin, Park Kyung-se's wife and the CEO of the film production company GoBak Films. She humorously remarked that while she feels more than 50% similar to her character, she doesn't quite understand why Go Hye-jin loves Park Kyung-se.
The 12-episode series 'Struggling with Worthlessness' premieres on the 18th at 10:40 PM.
