Reclusive Writer Phoebe Lim Sung-han to Reveal Face After 36 Years
Renowned Korean writer Phoebe Lim Sung-han is set to reveal her face for the first time in 36 years.

On October 17, at 7:45 PM, Lim will appear as a guest on a live broadcast on the YouTube channel of comedy YouTuber Eom Eun-hyang.

Previously, on October 7, Eom Eun-hyang announced in an urgent notice, "I received a call from writer Lim Sung-han. Next week's first live broadcast to celebrate 1 million subscribers on 'Eom Eun-hyang.' Guest: writer Lim Sung-han. This is not a joke, it's real. I'm thrilled beyond words."

The anticipation surrounding Lim's appearance is due to her reputation as a mysterious writer who has never appeared in media. Debuting in 1990 with the KBS drama special 'Standing in the Maze,' she gained immense popularity with works like 'Mermaid Lady,' 'The King Flower Fairy,' 'Dear Heaven,' 'New Tales of Gisaeng,' 'Princess Aurora,' 'Apgujeong Midnight Sun,' and the 'Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce)' series, yet she has never shown her face. Her infamous line, "Even cancer cells are life," is a hallmark of her dramatic writing style.

Currently, Lim is writing for TV Chosun's 'Dr. Shin,' which is experiencing historically low ratings. The show started with a 1% viewership and has dropped to below 0%, with a peak of only 1.5%. There is speculation that Lim may address the show's poor performance during the live broadcast.

Meanwhile, Eom Eun-hyang is a popular YouTuber known for content that utilizes drama clichés. She has frequently mentioned Lim in videos such as "Phoebe Lim Sung-han Universe Overview," "Harry Potter: Phoebe Lim Sung-han Edition," "Characteristics of Phoebe Lim Sung-han," and "Drama Clichés by Phoebe Lim Sung-han."
