Tensions Rise in 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' as Family Drama Unfolds
In the fourth episode of KBS 2TV's mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri', aired on the 16th, Sung Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and Lim Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) engage in a heated confrontation, while their children, Sung Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo) and Lim Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), share a romantic kiss, marking a turning point in their relationship.
Sung Tae-hoon is shocked to learn that his eldest son, Sung Ji-cheon, has dropped out of medical school due to trauma from a medical accident. Keeping this a secret from his wife, Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung), Tae-hoon reflects on the past and tries to get closer to his three sons. The awkward attempts of Tae-hoon to bond with his sons, who find their father's approach unfamiliar, provide moments of humor.
Meanwhile, Sung Ji-cheon remains firm in his decision not to return to medical school, despite Tae-hoon's persuasion. As father-son tensions escalate, Tae-hoon, while delivering cabbage to Seoul, accidentally sees a call from 'Yeonliri' on his superior Director Choi's (played by Min Sung-wook) phone, sparking suspicion about the company's activities.
The episode concludes with Tae-hoon and Joo-hyung's escalating tension leading to a physical altercation, while Ji-cheon and Bo-mi confirm their feelings with a kiss. The intense clash between the two heads of families and the budding romance between their children create a dramatic ending.
