Anticipation Builds for JTBC's New Drama 'Chairman Kang': A Star-Studded Cast and Intriguing Plot
The script reading session for the upcoming drama 'Chairman Kang' featuring actor Lee Jun-young has been unveiled. Last year, Lee Jun-young shared a romantic chemistry with singer and actress Jung Eun-ji in the KBS drama '24-Hour Fitness Club'.

Set to premiere on May 30th, JTBC's new weekend drama 'Chairman Kang' tells the story of Kang Yong-ho, the chairman of the prestigious Choi Sung Group, known as the god of business, who is forced to live an unwanted second life after an accident.

The drama is generating buzz with its star-studded cast, including Lee Jun-young (as Hwang Jun-hyun), Lee Joo-myung (as Kang Bang-geul), Jeon Hye-jin (as Kang Jae-kyung), Jin Goo (as Kang Jae-sung), and Son Hyun-joo (as Kang Yong-ho). The script reading session was attended by creator Kim Soon-ok, director Go Hye-jin, writer Hyun Ji-min, and the cast, all of whom gathered with excitement to mark the beginning of the project.

Lee Jun-young led the atmosphere with his portrayal of the passionate and spirited soccer player Hwang Jun-hyun, bringing a playful energy to the session. Lee Joo-myung, playing the hidden child of a chaebol family, Kang Bang-geul, depicted her character's secret ambitions through subtle changes in her voice tone.

Meanwhile, Jeon Hye-jin and Jin Goo, playing the children of Chairman Kang Yong-ho, also stood out. Jeon Hye-jin portrayed Kang Jae-kyung's relentless drive with unwavering intensity, while Jin Goo expressed Kang Jae-sung's inferiority complex with a tense and fractured speech, heightening the drama's tension.

The production team stated, "Thanks to the actors' deep understanding of their characters from the first reading, we were able to create impressive moments that felt like stepping into the drama. The intriguing relationships between the characters, combined with the intense psychological battles over inheritance within the chaebol family, promise to deliver a fresh and exciting experience in 'Chairman Kang'. We ask for your anticipation and support."

'Chairman Kang' will premiere on May 30th at 10:40 PM.
