TV personality Seo Dong-joo has shared the heartbreaking news of a miscarriage following her IVF treatment. On October 2, Seo Dong-joo's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'Perhaps it's not yet time for me to be a mom. Chilbok, let's meet again next season!' which left many viewers deeply moved.

In the video, Seo Dong-joo appeared visibly worn out as she faced the camera. She opened up with difficulty, saying, "After a missed miscarriage, I had a D&C procedure to say goodbye to Chilbok (the baby's nickname)." Reflecting on her earnest efforts, she shared, "I tried everything to protect the baby, from daily injections and medications to suppositories. I managed my diet, took supplements, and went for walks, but it seems it wasn't the right time yet."

Seo Dong-joo also calmly explained the process of how a moment of miracle turned into despair. She said, "The blood test numbers were rising slowly, but we saw the gestational sac and even confirmed the yolk sac, which gave us hope." However, she added, "But the hospital confirmed that the growth of the gestational sac had stopped," further deepening the sadness.

Amidst her grief, Seo Dong-joo candidly shared her feelings. She confessed, "Even in my sadness, there was a sense of relief that the long wait was over," adding, "I felt selfish for feeling that way, which hurt me even more. I don't know why I feel so disappointed and in pain," she said, eventually tearing up.

Despite the heartbreak, Seo Dong-joo expressed her determination to rise again. She stated, "This experience made me rethink what it means to become a mother," and added, "When my body allows, I will cautiously try again. I will become healthier and stronger to live on."
