Epik High's Tukutz Addresses Education Controversy with High School Diploma Reveal

Epik High's Tukutz has addressed the ongoing education controversy by revealing his high school diploma from Kyungbock High School. This move comes in response to the persistent doubts following Tablo's Stanford University degree controversy, proving that he is an alumnus of the same high school as Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong.

On the 19th, Epik High released a new episode titled 'Let's Go Hang Out in Front of the School, Suddenly Proving Education ft. Chairman Lee Jae-yong' on their YouTube channel 'EPIKASE.'

In the episode, Epik High visited Kyungbock High School to verify Tukutz's educational background. Tablo humorously remarked, “I went to Stanford before, and I never thought Tukutz would joke about proving his education to me,” vowing to get back at him. Tukutz mentioned notable alumni from Kyungbock High, including Shin Dong-yup, Yang Dong-geun, Lee Soo-man, as well as major corporate chairmen like Lee Jae-yong, Chung Yong-jin, and Chung Mong-koo. Tablo joked, “He only buys stocks of companies run by Kyungbock alumni.”

The group wandered around the school area, showing Tukutz's graduation photo to passersby, asking if they recognized him. Despite no one recognizing him, they received a tip about someone who had lived in the area for 68 years and headed to a billiard hall. The elderly owner there also did not recognize Tukutz. Reminiscing, Tukutz said, “I lost many bets and shed tears here,” prompting Tablo to suggest a billiard match to prove it.

The trio then arrived at the gates of Kyungbock High. Tablo urged, “Go inside and get something to prove it, like a diploma or transcript. I’ve done it about 20 times.” Tukutz entered the school alone and returned with a mysterious envelope. From afar, the others joked, “Is it a lawsuit?” and “Did you get a cease and desist for pretending to be a Kyungbock graduate?”

They decided to check the envelope later and continued walking through the Seochon neighborhood, eventually entering a restaurant. There, Tukutz discovered the owner was a fellow Kyungbock alumnus, and they impressed everyone with their perfect rendition of the school cheer.

Finally, the moment of truth arrived. Tablo opened the envelope to reveal Tukutz's graduation certificate. Despite the clear evidence, Tablo feigned ignorance, saying, “Is this it? It’s too simple. I’m not sure.” Tukutz then realized, “So this is how Tablo felt.” Mithra Jin humorously suggested using Tukutz's diploma for their next merchandise, to which Tablo added, “If we need to sell more, let’s use my diploma.”
