After his performance, Kim Yong-pil revealed the secretive story of his debut as a singer. Having transitioned from an announcer to a trot singer, MC Oh Ji-ho asked, "How did your mother react when you decided to leave your successful announcer career to join 'Mr. Trot 2'?" Kim Yong-pil's mother responded, "He didn't tell me from the beginning, so I found out later. It was already a done deal, so I couldn't stop him." She added, "I had never heard him sing before, so I didn't know he was good at it," surprising everyone with the revelation that Kim Yong-pil had never showcased his singing talent to his family. When Shin Seung-hwan asked, "What did you think when you saw your son singing on TV for the first time?" his mother expressed her boundless affection, saying, "I thought he was good."

Kim Yong-pil also shared his longing for his father, who passed away a year ago, bringing a poignant moment to the show. While dining with his mother, he said, "These days, when I go to the hospital, I think of him a lot." He continued, "I regret not having more moments to sit down and have a drink with him, man to man. My mother got to see me perform on stage as a singer, but my father was already battling illness and couldn't see me in my singing career. Many people around me find that regrettable," he said, showing his emotional side. Kim Yong-pil's mother also expressed her longing for her husband, saying, "Every time I leave and return home, I greet his photo, saying 'I'm off' and 'I'm back'."
