Romantic Tensions and Scandals Unfold in 'Efficient Meeting of Singles' with Lee Ki-taek and Han Ji-min
In the sixth episode of JTBC's weekend drama 'Efficient Meeting of Singles', aired on the 15th, Ji-soo (played by Lee Ki-taek) finds himself embroiled in an unexpected scandal, marking a new phase in his relationship with Eui-young (played by Han Ji-min).
Lee Ki-taek skillfully portrayed Ji-soo's contrasting demeanor towards Eui-young and Tae-seop (played by Park Sung-hoon), adding humor to the scenes. After bringing the drunken Eui-young and Tae-seop to a hotel, Ji-soo experiences a fluttering heart when Eui-young, in her drunken state, embraces him. Unable to leave them alone, he stays awake to ensure their safety, leading to a humorous confrontation with Tae-seop the next morning.
An unforeseen crisis arises when top star Jung-ah (played by Moon Jung-hee), who recently stirred up a scandal, sends Ji-soo a bouquet, which Eui-young delivers. As suspicions grow, Ji-soo finds himself accused by a reporter of being Jung-ah's sponsor. Discovering that Jung-ah was behind his performance opportunity, Ji-soo, feeling humiliated, declares his intention to quit the theater and contacts Jung-ah, escalating the tension.
Lee Ki-taek vividly portrays Ji-soo's complex emotions, from excitement to confusion and anger, enriching the drama's emotional depth. His performance convincingly depicts Ji-soo's humorous side when approaching Eui-young and his outrage when confronting unjust suspicions.
Meanwhile, 'Efficient Meeting of Singles', featuring Lee Ki-taek, airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
