Jung Yi-chan is caught in a desperate life-or-death situation as he watches over Baek Seo-ra in a critical state of unconsciousness.

TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series 'Dr. Shin' (written by Phoebe, Im Sung-han/directed by Lee Seung-hoon/produced by Scene & Studio, TME Group) is a medical thriller drama about a genius doctor challenging the realm of the divine and a woman whose brain deteriorates overnight, losing her soul. 'Dr. Shin' marks the first medical thriller drama penned by writer Phoebe, known for creating unique worlds with 'shock and sensation' in each of her works, promising an unpredictable and innovative genre.

In 'Dr. Shin,' Jung Yi-chan plays the role of Shin Joo-shin, a genius doctor with near-supernatural brain surgery skills, while Baek Seo-ra takes on the role of Momo, a top actress at the peak of her popularity, caught in a whirlwind of fateful romance. Both actors were chosen through a highly competitive audition process, and their synergy in acting is highly anticipated.

In this context, Jung Yi-chan and Baek Seo-ra heighten the tension with a scene depicting an 'unconscious coma' situation. The scene shows Shin Joo-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) intensely watching Momo (played by Baek Seo-ra) lying inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Shin Joo-shin struggles to conceal his shock and confusion as he gazes at Momo, who has lost consciousness and fallen into a deep sleep. The contrast between Momo's serene expression and Shin Joo-shin's pale complexion and piercing gaze raises curiosity about the uncertain future of their relationship.

Meanwhile, Jung Yi-chan and Baek Seo-ra showcase their acting prowess by condensing emotional intensity in the 'critical unconsciousness' scene. Jung Yi-chan vividly portrays Shin Joo-shin's emotions of turmoil with tightly closed lips and unwavering eyes as he looks at the unconscious Momo. Baek Seo-ra expresses Momo's tranquil calmness in a coma with her flexible acting skills. Their performance, conveyed through eyes and expressions without a single line of dialogue, maximizes immersion.

The production team stated, "This scene is the message of 'Dr. Shin' and a key point where the medical thriller drama officially begins," adding, "Look forward to the heightened tension brought by Jung Yi-chan and Baek Seo-ra's acting transformation in Phoebe's 'first medical thriller drama.'"

Meanwhile, TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series 'Dr. Shin' will premiere simultaneously on TV CHOSUN and Coupang Play at 10:30 PM on the 14th.
