Yoo Yeon-seok and Kim Kyung-nam Share Behind-the-Scenes Dining Stories from 'Shin-i-rang Law Office'

The press conference for SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Shin-i-rang Law Office' (hereafter 'Shin-i-rang') was held on the afternoon of the 11th at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Director Shin Jung-hoon and actors Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Som, and Kim Kyung-nam attended the event. 'Shin-i-rang' is a unique and heartwarming adventure drama about 'possessed lawyer' Shin-i-rang, who resolves the grudges of the deceased, and 'cold-blooded elite lawyer' Han Na-hyun, who stakes everything on winning.

Kim Kyung-nam plays Yang Do-kyung, the head of the law firm Taebaek. Known for his intense performance in the 2024 drama 'Connection', he stated, "If there is a similarity with my previous work, it's the longing for affection from a father and a sense of inferiority. While my previous character was stronger, in this work, I tried to portray a character filled with ambition rather than inferiority and deficiency. Through the character Han Na-hyun, a colleague, I aimed to show a variety of emotions."

Previously, Kim Kyung-nam appeared on Na Young-seok PD's YouTube channel 'Fifteen Nights' and jokingly mentioned that Yoo Yeon-seok doesn't often buy him meals, drawing attention. The two are senior and junior colleagues at Starship Entertainment (King Kong by Starship). Kim Kyung-nam said about Yoo Yeon-seok, "On set, he treated me warmly as a senior and brother, allowing me to act comfortably. We had a meal together with actor Lee Som during my last shoot. We even took a photo as proof, which I will reveal later," he said with a smile.

Yoo Yeon-seok plays Shin-i-rang, who opens his first law office in a former shaman's house and accidentally starts seeing ghosts. Regarding Kim Kyung-nam, he explained, "He's a beloved junior, but I didn't expect him to say that on a channel with high viewership. It wasn't intentional not to buy him meals; we just didn't have many opportunities to meet."

He continued, "There weren't many scenes together, so it felt lonely at times. Whenever I asked if he wanted to eat, Kyung-nam would already be heading home. Since I had many scenes, there were 2-3 hour gaps before meal times. I wanted to treat him, but he was already gone." He added, "Eventually, I reserved a restaurant and we all had a meal together with the staff."

'Shin-i-rang' premieres on SBS at 9:50 PM on the 13th.
