Heartfelt Apology: Oh Sang-jin's Mother Sends Adorable Letter to Daughter-in-Law on 'New Release Pyeonstorang'

On the latest episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang', Oh Sang-jin's mother sent a heartfelt apology letter to her daughter-in-law.

The episode, aired on the 13th, featured 'the man who commutes to the kitchen every day', Oh Sang-jin, also known as Oh Butler, along with his parents.

During the visit to Oh Sang-jin's home, his parents made an appearance. His father, a former executive at H Heavy Industries, and his mother, an alumna of Ewha Womans University's College of Fine Arts, caught the audience's attention.

While preparing pizza for his pregnant wife, Kim So-young, Oh Sang-jin asked his mother if she experienced morning sickness. She humorously replied, "I had it for more than 3-4 days when I was pregnant with you. I would crave something, ask your father to get it, and then not want it anymore. Looking back, I think I might have troubled him."

Despite being a devoted son, Oh Sang-jin's birth was a difficult one. His father recounted, "The doctor said it was a miracle you were born alive," as the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck three times.

Born in a precarious state with breathing difficulties and severe jaundice, Oh Sang-jin's mother shared, "I endured 17 hours of labor starting at 11 PM. The pain was indescribable. You must have been so active to have the cord wrapped around your neck," bringing laughter to the set.

Despite the challenging birth, Oh Sang-jin grew up to be a top student, ranking 20th nationwide, and was popular for his good looks. His mother reminisced, "Girls would leave letters and chocolates at our doorstep, but you would only eat the chocolates." Oh Sang-jin proudly added, "I did read the letters too," and boasted about his trouble-free marriage.

Oh Sang-jin's mother expressed her concern, "During the holidays, So-young made rice cake soup for the first time in a while, and you made pasta. The pasta was exceptionally delicious that day. But when I got home, I realized I hadn't eaten So-young's rice cake soup. I wondered if she felt bad."

When Oh Sang-jin jokingly remarked, "That's a major blunder," his mother sent an adorable apology, "So-young, I'm sorry for not eating it that day. I'll definitely eat what you make next time."
