'I Am Solo' Star Young-sik Sheds 10kg, Becomes Heartthrob

Young-sik from the 20th season of 'I Am Solo' has emerged as a popular figure after losing 10kg.

On the October 12th episode of SBS Plus and ENA's variety show 'I Am SOLO, Then Love Continues' (also known as 'Nasolsa'), former participants of 'I Am SOLO' reunited to seek new connections.

Young-sik, known as the 'original tofu face' of Solo Country, caught attention with his noticeably slimmer appearance, sparking interest among the cast.

When asked about his weight loss, Young-sik revealed, "I lost about 10kg through exercise."

He also discussed his relationship with Hyun-sook, with whom he became a final couple on the 20th season of 'I Am Solo.' Young-sik explained, "We continued to meet after the show, but we realized we weren't meant to be, so we parted ways."

Young-sik candidly shared his dating life post-breakup with Hyun-sook, stating, "I haven't been on more than ten blind dates since then." Defconn humorously remarked, "Ten is a lot," eliciting laughter.

In a gathering of female participants, Young-sik became the center of attention as a 'popular guy.' Notably, Sun-ja from the 24th season mentioned, "He helped me with my luggage," and admitted to sending Young-sik a direct message (DM) before the show.

Sun-ja explained, "I sent a DM asking if he could join me in volunteering for stray dogs. I thought he was impressive after reading about his donation to a stray dog center. I wanted to meet him under the pretext of my YouTube channel, but it was a rejection. Seeing him here is both embarrassing and amazing," she said with a shy smile.

Additionally, Young-sik received unanimous votes from the female participants, raising anticipation.
