ENA Drama 'Honor: Her Courtroom' Concludes with Record Ratings and Powerful Message
The final episode of 'Honor: Her Courtroom' achieved its highest ratings yet, with 4.9% in the metropolitan area and 4.7% nationwide. The drama, which followed the honorable fight of three female lawyers—Lee Na-young, Jung Eun-chae, and Lee Chung-ah—against a nation-shaking prostitution scandal, transcended its crime mystery genre to deliver a resonant message about human dignity and honor.
In the finale, the twisted world built by Baek Tae-joo (played by Yeon Woo-jin) crumbled. At The Prime's smart city demonstration, Kang Shin-jae (played by Jung Eun-chae) exposed Baek Tae-joo's voice through a device planted in the server, revealing that the secret prostitution app 'Connect In' was a criminal system designed to exploit victims. Simultaneously, Kang Shin-jae, who was trapped in the server room and threatened, was broadcast live, turning the scene into chaos.
Baek Tae-joo's downfall did not resolve everything. Yoon Ra-young and Hwang Hyun-jin, who reorganized the law firm L&J (Listen & Join), took on the defense of 'Connect In' victims. However, the first criminal trial resulted in a partial victory, with users receiving only fines for prostitution charges. Yoon Ra-young raised her voice further, appearing on broadcasts to advocate for a special 'Connect In' law and declaring a civil lawsuit against the users.
Though wounds did not disappear and lost things did not return, enduring the weight and living on was a victory beyond someone's malice, and every moment preserved was a radiant honor. Yet, their solidarity and struggle were not over. Another victim of sexual violence, battered and desperate, knocked on the door of L&J's office, pleading for help. It was an ending that clung to reality rather than a fantasy-like happy ending.
