Kim Hyung-mook's Heartfelt Portrayal of a Flawed Father in 'Undercover Miss Hong' Finale
Actor Kim Hyung-mook has wrapped up his journey in the drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' by showcasing the clumsy paternal love of his character.

In the final episode of tvN's 'Undercover Miss Hong,' which aired on the 8th, Oh Deok-kyu (played by Kim Hyung-mook) is seen sharing a meal with his son, Albert Oh (played by Jo Han-gyeol), as they work through their past grievances.

During the episode, Oh Deok-kyu reunites with his son Albert Oh at a dinner arranged by Kang Noh-ra (played by Choi Ji-soo). The two experience an awkward silence, and just as Oh Deok-kyu is about to leave, the steak ordered by Kang Noh-ra arrives.

The father and son share the steak and exchange conversations they had long avoided. Oh Deok-kyu complains about Cha Joong-il (played by Lim Cheol-soo) becoming the president of Hanmin Securities, calling it a 'fluke,' to which Albert Oh retorts, questioning his father's continued ambition despite past turmoil. Oh Deok-kyu responds with sarcasm, "If everyone grew from experience, would the whole nation be saints?"

The hidden clumsy paternal love behind the ambitious man who knows only money and power brought smiles to viewers' faces. Despite his grumbling, Oh Deok-kyu quietly places the carefully sliced steak on his son's plate and smiles faintly at his son's playful antics. His attempt to lecture his son about money, only to suggest they eat steak instead, reveals a shift in Oh Deok-kyu's priorities, valuing a meal with his son over lifelong ambitions. Kim Hyung-mook perfectly embodied the 'multi-dimensional villain' Oh Deok-kyu, who is impossible to hate, in 'Undercover Miss Hong.'

Meanwhile, Kim Hyung-mook continues to engage with audiences every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on KBS2's weekend drama 'Prescribing Love.'
