Kim Jun-hyun and DinDin are set to reunite as hosts for the upcoming season of 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' The previous hosts, Lee Hyun-yi and Alberto, have stepped down.

Premiering on March 19th on MBC Every1, 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?' is a reality show that captures the real 'Korean travel stories' of foreigners visiting from various countries. The show promises to deliver the excitement of travel and the humor and empathy that arise from cultural differences. This season introduces a groundbreaking change, allowing anyone to become a traveler in Korea, even without local friends. The appearance of 'Eiffel Tower celebrity' Paco has already generated buzz.

Kim Jun-hyun and DinDin, who understand the essence of the show, will take on the role of MCs. Known for his warm charm and stable hosting skills, Kim Jun-hyun respects the cultures of foreign participants while highlighting points of interest for viewers. The production team stated, "Kim Jun-hyun has been with 'Welcome' since its inception and excels at maintaining balance. He will guide viewers with even more engaging commentary."

DinDin, a 'founding member' who has been with the show since its pilot in 2017, returns. Known for his candid reactions and unfiltered wit, DinDin's comeback is a treat for long-time fans. The production team expressed, "DinDin's comfortable and witty talk is his strength. His familiar yet fresh chemistry with Kim Jun-hyun will inject new energy into the program."

With the show's expanded guest range, the roles of the two MCs are more crucial than ever. As they welcome diverse travelers from around the world, starting with confirmed guest Paco from France, viewers can look forward to their analysis, debates, and empathetic discussions.

The production team added, "The unique color of 'Welcome' is completed when Kim Jun-hyun's stable hosting meets DinDin's vibrant energy. Look forward to the unique synergy created by the free-spirited travel stories of foreigners and the perfect chemistry of the two MCs."

Meanwhile, former hosts Lee Hyun-yi and Alberto have stepped down. Alberto recently faced controversy over comments regarding historical distortions between Korea and Japan. In November last year, during a discussion on a YouTube channel about his children's education, he mentioned, "Our Leo is very interested in Korean history and often says, 'Mom, the Japanese were really bad.' But since we have Japanese family members, I advise him to 'listen to both sides.'"

Alberto later apologized on his social media, stating, "I deeply reflect on causing discomfort and disappointment due to my shortcomings. The historical issues between Korea and Japan are very heavy topics filled with the pain and memories of many people. Nevertheless, I made a rash comment without fully considering the weight of the issue, and I take full responsibility for it."

Lee Hyun-yi is married to Hong Sung-ki, a semiconductor development engineer at Samsung Electronics, since 2012, and they have two sons.
