MBN's 'Legend of the Unknown' Reveals Intense Semi-Final Showdown in 'National Song Battle'
MBN's mega trot audition show 'Legend of the Unknown - The Battle of Trot Men' (hereafter 'Legend of the Unknown') is set to unveil the final gateway to the semi-finals with the third round of the main competition, the 'National Song Battle'. Out of 27 survivors, only 14 will secure tickets to the semi-finals, promising another fierce battle for survival.

In the 8th episode airing on the 15th, the 'National Song Battle' will feature legendary songs by Choi Baek-ho, Jeon Young-rok, Jang Yoon-jeong, and Kim Jin-ryong. The original artists of these national hit songs will make a special appearance, creating an unprecedented lineup that heightens anticipation. As contestants who have survived the war-like competition take the stage, a more intense medley performance is expected.

The 'National Song Battle' consists of the 1st round 'Team Medley Battle' and the 2nd round 'Top Ace Battle'. Scores from the National Pro Team and the Top Pro Team are combined in each round. The new TOP5, who emerged from the '1-on-1 Death Match', have completed team formations as leaders. The team that ranks first in the combined two rounds will advance directly to the semi-finals, while the rest will face elimination, leading each team to showcase their 'secret weapons' on stage.

Leading the 'Yeonho's Jinppong Masterpieces' team is Jeong Yeon-ho, who topped the '1-on-1 Death Match'. The team includes Kang Tae-kwan, Shin Sung, Lee Ru-ne, and Choi Woo-jin, prompting admiration with their lineup of strong contenders. With Choi Woo-jin's sudden collapse and hospitalization before the competition, attention is focused on whether they can overcome the crisis and complete their performance.

Challenging them is Lee Chang-min's 'Ttechang Republic' team, betting on a Jeon Young-rok medley. Performance powerhouses Seong-ri, Hwang Min-woo, and Ko Young-tae join forces, promising a stage reminiscent of a musical, complete with fire shows. The combination of Lee Chang-min and Seong-ri, who faced off in the previous '1-on-1 Death Match', draws attention, especially as unexpected mistakes disrupt their flow, raising curiosity about whether they can turn the tide with their performance.

Third place Haru forms the dark horse team 'Haru All Day' with Park Min-soo, Lee Dae-hwan, Choi Jong-won, and Hwang Yoon-seong, gathering the visual appeal of 'Legend of the Unknown'. Assembled with the ambition to create a 'Trot Avengers' that excels in visuals, vocals, and performance, anticipation builds for their chemistry and explosive synergy in presenting a Jang Yoon-jeong medley.

The Jang Yoon-jeong medley continues to break the jinx that 'singing Jang Yoon-jeong's songs in auditions doesn't yield good results'. Kim Tae-woong's 'Simkuungdan' features 'Legend of the Unknown' prodigy Kim Han-yul, Son Eun-seol, veteran Moon Eun-seok, and active singer Lee Do-jin, promising a unique synergy across generations. Interest is focused on what kind of stage the meeting of veterans and prodigies will create.

Led by 5th place Yoo Ji-woo, the 'Romantic Jiwoo' team consists of Jang Han-byeol, Lee Woo-jung, and Kwak Hee-seong, all unknowns, writing a 'challenge for the top by the unknowns'. Taking on a Choi Baek-ho medley, which demands deep emotion and high musical completeness, Choi Baek-ho himself remarked, 'The world is blind. How can such talent be confined to obscurity?' adding to the anticipation for the 'true unknowns' team's stage.

The third round 'National Song Battle', where only the skilled survive, promises more intense competition and overwhelming stage quality than ever before. The National Pro Team's group singing and dancing, along with Top Pro Team's Joo Hyun-mi standing up to dance for the first time, reportedly heated up the atmosphere even more.

With a stage that made even the legends nervous with its uncharacteristic poise and ease, Jang Yoon-jeong reportedly praised, 'If voting were possible, I'd give 100 points,' raising expectations. All eyes are on which team will claim first place in the third round's first round 'Team Medley Battle'.

With the appearance of legendary national singers like Choi Baek-ho, Jeon Young-rok, Jang Yoon-jeong, and Kim Jin-ryong, and the cliffhanger showdown for the semi-finals, the third round 'National Song Battle' first round 'Team Medley Battle' returns with heightened competition and scale. It can be seen in the 8th episode of 'Legend of the Unknown' airing at 9:40 PM on the 15th.
