Ryu Seung-soo Joins tvN Drama 'I'll Give You the Universe' as a Pivotal Character

Actor Ryu Seung-soo has joined the cast of tvN's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'I'll Give You the Universe.'

In the 7th episode aired on the 25th, Ryu Seung-soo made his debut as Sun Tae-hyung's (played by Bae In-hyuk) father, Sun Kyu-tae, hinting at a new turning point in the series. Kyu-tae, who was known to have left his young sons Sun Woo-jin (played by Ha Jun) and Sun Tae-hyung in the past, made a sudden appearance, sparking curiosity about the upcoming developments.

Kyu-tae's shocking entrance caught viewers' attention as he was discovered inside the home of Tae-hyung, Woo Hyun-jin (played by Noh Jung-ui), and Sun Woo-joo (played by Park Yoo-ho). He revealed his identity to a startled Hyun-jin by saying, “The door was open, so I came in. I am Woo-jin's father.”

Soon after, Kyu-tae faced Tae-hyung, expressing regret with tears, “You really are Tae-hyung. It's too late, isn't it? I'm truly sorry.” However, Tae-hyung couldn't hide his confusion at Kyu-tae's sudden reappearance after abandoning him as a child. He withdrew his hand from Kyu-tae's grasp and firmly stated, “What brings you here after decades?” and “It's not the time to catch up. Please leave.”

Meeting Tae-hyung again later, Kyu-tae apologized on his knees, saying, “I'm sorry for being so late,” but Tae-hyung left, saying, “I hope we never meet again.” Despite this, Kyu-tae stayed around the Yuseong Villa, showing kindness to Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin's neighbors and helping in urgent situations involving Woo-joo, further complicating Tae-hyung's feelings.

tvN's 'I'll Give You the Universe' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:40 PM.
