KBS 2TV's 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' Captivates with Fresh Youth Romance
Airing every Thursday at 9:50 PM, KBS 2TV's mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' (directed by Choi Yeon-soo, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji, produced by Sim Story) is a heartwarming family reboot drama. It follows the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon as they struggle to return to Seoul after being unexpectedly relocated to the quaint and somewhat perilous area of 'Yeonliri'.
In previous episodes, the story unfolded with Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo) moving to Yeonliri with his family due to his father Seong Tae-hoon's (played by Park Sung-woong) sudden demotion. Ji-cheon, who decided to leave medical school due to trauma from a medical accident, kept this a secret from his family while building a friendship with Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), the only daughter of village chief Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) and a school nutritionist. Ji-cheon, who accidentally started working part-time in the school cafeteria, found his heart racing as he watched Bo-mi diligently handle her tasks. Having always followed the path set by his parents, Ji-cheon began to change through his experiences in Yeonliri.
Later, Ji-cheon discovered that Park Sun-gyeong (played by Choi Woo-jin), Yeonliri's most eligible bachelor, had a crush on Bo-mi, prompting Ji-cheon to be wary of him. Ji-cheon's deliberate attempts to insert himself into conversations between Bo-mi and Sun-gyeong brought about endearing laughter. Ji-cheon expressed his gratitude to Bo-mi, who was always there for him during tough times, saying, "Being next to you makes even difficult problems seem simple." The natural way they became part of each other's daily lives added warmth to their relationship.
'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' continues to deliver excitement by depicting pure emotions amidst character conflicts. The story of Ji-cheon and Bo-mi, in particular, provides a pollution-free healing experience, drawing viewers into the 'Yeonliri fever'.
KBS 2TV's mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' episode 5 will air on the 23rd (Thursday) at 9:50 PM.
