MBN's 'Legend of the Unknown' Teases High-Stakes 'Top Ace Battle' Ahead of Semifinals
MBN's mega trot audition show 'Legend of the Unknown - The Rank War of Trot Men' (hereafter 'Legend of the Unknown') has released a preview video of the 'Top Ace Battle,' a crucial stage determining semifinalists and team fates.

The 'Legend of the Unknown' team shared a sneak peek of the 'Top Ace Battle' from the third round of the 'National Song Contest' on their official social media channels starting from the 20th. This round, airing on the 22nd, features team aces fighting for their team's survival, heightening anticipation for the broadcast.

The third round of the 'National Song Contest' is dedicated to legendary Korean songs by Choi Baek-ho, Jeon Young-rok, Jang Yoon-jung, and Kim Jin-ryong. It consists of two rounds: the 'Team Medley' and the 'Top Ace Battle.' Scores from both the National Pro Team and the Top Pro Team are combined to determine rankings. The team with the highest combined score advances directly to the semifinals, while the others face elimination.

In the previously aired 'Team Medley' round, the competition was fierce with minimal score differences, making the outcome of the 'Top Ace Battle' even more critical.

The preview video released on the 20th features Jang Han-byul from the 'Romantic Jiwoo' team (Yoo Ji-woo, Kwak Hee-sung, Lee Woo-jung, Jang Han-byul) stepping in for leader Yoo Ji-woo in the 'Top Ace Battle.' Facing potential elimination, Jang Han-byul chose Kim Dong-hwan's hit song 'Buried Pain,' composed by Kim Jin-ryong, delivering an emotionally charged performance from the start.

Jeon Young-rok, observing the performance, praised Jang Han-byul's singing, while the Top Pro Team expressed admiration and anticipation for his main stage performance.

Additionally, Jeong Yeon-ho, leader of the 'Yeonho's Jinppong Masterpiece' team, which ranked last in the 'Team Medley,' also takes the stage with his team's fate on the line. Competing among strong active performers like Shin Sung, Choi Woo-jin, and Kang Tae-kwan, the youngest leader Jeong Yeon-ho performs Imi-ja's 'Old People,' composed by Choi Baek-ho, showcasing traditional trot.

Jeong Yeon-ho's deep voice captivated the audience, with Shin Sung and Choi Woo-jin reportedly moved to tears. As the youngest member with three years of experience, whether Jeong Yeon-ho can overcome the pressure and create a comeback story is a key point of interest.

As each team's ace delivers a decisive performance to save their team from elimination, viewers are eager to see if the 'Team Medley' rankings will be overturned and which 14 contestants will advance to the semifinals. The results will be revealed on the 22nd at 9:40 PM.
