Netflix's 'Monthly Boyfriend' Promises a Dopamine-Fueled Romantic Adventure

Netflix's upcoming series 'Monthly Boyfriend' is set to deliver a dopamine-fueled romantic escapade. Premiering on March 6, 'Monthly Boyfriend' follows the story of Mirae, a webtoon producer played by Jisoo, who subscribes to and experiences virtual dating through a simulation, offering a romantic comedy that fulfills her dreams. The series title, 'Monthly Boyfriend,' also refers to the virtual dating subscription service featured in the show. This unique concept of 'subscribing to romance in a virtual world' layered over the relatable daily life of a working professional promises an exhilarating thrill. Anticipation is building for the on-screen chemistry between Jisoo and Seo In-guk.

The main trailer, released earlier, unveiled a lineup of virtual boyfriends ready to captivate Mirae, who is weary of her 'real life.' Special appearances by Seo Kang-joon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Ong Seong-wu, Lee Jae-wook, Lee Hyun-wook, Kim Young-dae, and Jay Park will showcase romantic moments with Jisoo, each bringing their unique charm.

The released stills reveal the diverse allure of these characters, who transform into Mirae's lovers, along with Kim Sung-cheol's portrayal of her 'ex-boyfriend.'

First, the scene with Eun-ho (Seo Kang-joon) standing across from Mirae amidst cherry blossoms on campus catches the eye. Their encounter, reminiscent of a youthful romance, piques curiosity about the storyline that will unfold. Meanwhile, Si-woo (Lee Soo-hyuk) captivates Mirae with a different charm. As a third-generation chaebol, Si-woo offers Mirae a dazzling and glamorous date. Despite his cold and seemingly perfect exterior, his gaze towards Mirae seems to burn with intensity.

From a secret agent (Ong Seong-wu) appearing before flight attendant Mirae, to a charismatic doctor senior (Lee Jae-wook), a handsome judge (Lee Hyun-wook), and a top star (Jay Park), the diverse array of suitors promises unique and thrilling dates that will set Mirae's heart racing.
