Rising Star Lee Soo-yeon Shines on 'Hyun-yeok Gawang 3', Secures Spot in Semi-Finals

In the latest episode of MBN's 'Hyun-yeok Gawang 3', aired on the 10th, Lee Soo-yeon delivered a standout performance, overshadowing competitors like Stephanie and Jang Tae-hee, who were eliminated.

Lee Soo-yeon continued her impressive run in the competition during the third round of the finals, known as the 'Fate War'. After a decisive victory over Bin Ye-seo in the first round's one-on-one song battle, which placed her in fourth position, she chose Jeong Dong-won's 'Monologue' for her next performance, promising another legendary stage.

Ahead of her performance, Lee Soo-yeon expressed her determination, saying, "Although I'm currently in the top ranks, I know the standings can change at any moment in the second round, so I must hold my position." Despite being only 11 years old, she captivated the audience with her profound interpretation and emotional depth.

Fellow contestant Jeon Yoo-jin praised Lee Soo-yeon, stating, "Lee Soo-yeon isn't just good for an 11-year-old; she's a genuinely talented singer. She possesses a more nuanced emotional range and a perfect narrative arc than many adults." The original songwriter, Yoon Myung-sun, also lauded her performance, saying, "From the first note, she was flawless. Although I usually don't work with minors, I would love to collaborate with Lee Soo-yeon."

With strong support from both the celebrity judging panel and the audience, Lee Soo-yeon secured third place, earning her a ticket to the semi-finals.
