Mun Ka-young's Dramas Dominate Global OTT Platforms in 2025
Rakuten Viki and Japan's major streamer U-NEXT have announced their 'Popular Korean Dramas of 2025' list, featuring Mun Ka-young's 'My Dearest Nemesis' and 'Law and The City' prominently.
Rakuten Viki revealed the six most beloved Korean dramas across the Americas, Europe, and Oceania on their official social media, with 'My Dearest Nemesis' and 'Law and The City' making the cut.
Notably, U-NEXT's ranking of Korean dramas with high viewership in 2025 placed 'My Dearest Nemesis' at number one and 'Law and The City' at number two, marking a significant achievement for a single actor's works to dominate the top spots. Similarly, 'Law and The City' ranked in the top five in 150 countries and regions on Rakuten Viki, number one on U-NEXT's drama chart, and number three on the main chart. According to tvN Asia, it achieved the highest success among tvN dramas aired in 2025. The popularity of the series led Mun Ka-young and Lee Jong-suk to meet approximately 20,000 local fans during the 'Star Tour' in Kuala Lumpur, showcasing the global K-drama phenomenon.
Additionally, the 2020 drama 'True Beauty' was also included in U-NEXT's 2025 list of notable works.
Mun Ka-young continues to shine beyond television, making her mark on the big screen. The film 'Once We Were Us' has recorded an impressive 540,000 cumulative viewers within six days of its release, according to the Korean Film Council's KOREA Box-office Information System.
