Seo Jang-hoon Opens Up About His Passion for Variety Shows Post-Divorce
Seo Jang-hoon, who divorced Oh Jung-yeon in 2012, recently shared his heartfelt reasons for his dedication to variety shows.

On the October 3rd episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' episode 930 titled 'All Big Project,' Seo Jang-hoon appeared as a guest alongside Shin Ki-ru, Shindong, and Na Seon-wook.

After retiring from professional basketball in 2013, Seo Jang-hoon was introduced to the world of variety shows through Haha's recommendation to join 'Infinite Challenge.' During the show, Seo Jang-hoon candidly admitted, “While I am recognized as a successful player in the KBL, I don't think I was a beloved player among basketball fans.”

He continued, “Part of it was my fault. I often clashed with other players, and I wasn't particularly good-looking. For various reasons, many basketball fans were not pleased with me being a representative player of our country.”

Seo Jang-hoon revealed, “As a player, I always wanted to be loved and to inspire hope in many people. Until I retired, I always felt a sense of regret. I performed well, but my heart always felt lonely and empty.”

Since appearing on variety shows post-retirement, Seo Jang-hoon noticed a shift in public perception. He expressed, “I finally received the warmth I had longed for my entire life. It's like a child who didn't receive love at home but finds warmth in someone else's home and keeps wanting to go back.”
