Legendary Cartoonist Huh Young-man Shares Insights on 'You Quiz on the Block'

Renowned cartoonist Huh Young-man, aged 80, is set to share his insights on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'.

The 337th episode of 'You Quiz on the Block', airing on the 1st, will feature the '38 Task Force', known for tracking down high-value tax evaders, athlete Kim Yoon-ji who won five medals in a single event, legendary Korean cartoonist Huh Young-man, and sibling duo AKMU returning to the show after five years.

Huh Young-man, the creator of numerous masterpieces such as 'Gaksital', 'Beat', 'Tazza', and 'Sikgaek', describes himself as a "veteran who insists on remaining active forever." He will discuss the challenges of digital work experienced while serializing his new work 'The Tavern' on social media, as well as his journey in the world of comics. From his early days as an apprentice in Seoul with just 35,000 won after high school graduation, to maintaining a leading position for over 60 years with a goal of being in the top five, Huh will share his story.

The episode will also reveal behind-the-scenes stories of 'Sikgaek', which took three years of research, and the nationwide pursuit for 'Tazza'. Additionally, Huh Young-man's caricature of Yoo Jae-suk will capture viewers' attention. At 79 years old, Huh continues to adapt to the rapidly changing times of newspapers, webtoons, and AI, while maintaining his unique skills and philosophy, stating, "When I die, Huh Young-man's comics will end too." His routine of starting work at 5 AM and his life philosophy will be explored in the broadcast.
