Rising Star Park Si-yeon Reflects on Her Journey from Idol to Actress

"I wanted to focus on one thing. After spending nine years with one company, experiencing everything from debut to disbandment, I recently embarked on a new journey. I have no regrets or lingering attachments to what I've done so far. Living with the mindset of 'I've tried it, and that's enough' brings me peace."
On November 13th, we met Park Si-yeon, who transitioned from being a member of the group Pristin to an actress, at the TenAsia office in Jungnim-dong, Seoul. She shared, "I have no regrets about my singing career. If I were to dance now, I'd probably be rusty," she joked, expressing her contentment with her current path.
"I found myself dancing, and before I knew it, I was on 'Produce 101.' (laughs) After the group disbanded, I wanted to do something that would be loved by the public, and acting came to mind."

Park Si-yeon described her approach to relationships as "narrow and deep." Despite frequently leaving school early for 'Produce 101,' she cherishes memories with her friends. "I have precious memories from my school days. I'm still closest with those friends," she proudly shared.

Park Si-yeon admitted, "I miss the members. Some are overseas, so it's hard to gather everyone, but those who can meet up often for drinks," she laughed. She enjoys light drinking, confessing, "I can handle one and a half to two and a half bottles."

When asked about difficult moments, Park Si-yeon, who laughed heartily throughout the interview, shared, "I don't know where to start. I need a drink," she joked, emphasizing, "I don't dwell on the past."
Known as the 'Pledis Princess,' she commented on her departure from Pledis, "It ended very well." She added, "I'm called a princess wherever I go. Most friends say that, and the new company treats me well," she smiled. "It's not that my friends adore me; it's just a nickname," she joked. Park Si-yeon humorously added, "At home, I'm a tyrant."

Reflecting on her life dedicated to her dream of becoming an entertainer from a young age, Park Si-yeon shared, "I'm happy. I love being appreciated by others. Receiving positive feedback for my efforts and achievements is precious and valuable. I think I've done well." She added, "Even if I could turn back time, I would make the same choices," her eyes sparkling.
This year, Park Si-yeon is set to appear in 'Breaking Up with the Male Lead' and the film 'Karlovy Vary.' She expressed her gratitude, "I can't forget the fans who have supported me since my child actor days. I want to say so much, but I can't, so I'll convey my heartfelt message in four words: I miss you."
