Kim Jong-kook Announces Marriage on 'Running Man', Shocks Cast Members

Kim Jong-kook has officially announced his marriage on the popular SBS variety show 'Running Man'.

On the episode aired on the 24th, the cast members were visibly shocked upon hearing the news of Kim Jong-kook's upcoming wedding.

Before the recording, Kim Jong-kook individually informed each member about his marriage. Ji Suk-jin was taken aback, asking, "Is this for real?" while Yoo Jae-suk humorously questioned, "Is Ji-hyo crying?" Song Ji-hyo, who had a love line with Kim Jong-kook on the show, expressed, "I'm kind of touched right now."

As the members gathered for the opening shoot, they couldn't hide their bewilderment. Ji Suk-jin, in particular, was still in disbelief, repeatedly asking, "Is this true?"

New members Choi Daniel and Ji Ye-eun, who were not informed beforehand, expressed their surprise, with Ji Ye-eun quickly catching on and exclaiming, "Are you getting married?" Kim Jong-kook, though flustered, couldn't help but smile.

Yoo Jae-suk, acknowledging the news, said, "I thought it was a joke," while Choi Daniel remained skeptical, saying, "Is it true? I still can't believe it."

Kim Jong-kook then officially declared, "Yes, I'm getting married. I will live well," confirming the news.

Ji Suk-jin, surprised by the staff's reaction, humorously commented, "I just found out today. If you were born in the past, you should have been an independence fighter. You kept it a secret until the last moment."

Kim Jong-kook explained, "I don't like celebrating birthdays, so I wanted to keep the wedding quiet too." Yoo Jae-suk jokingly responded, "Do you think it will be quiet just because you want it to be?"

The members laughed, noting that Haha was the most shocked, as Kim Jong-kook had previously delayed sharing his marriage news as a form of payback. Kim Jong-kook admitted, "I didn't want to tell anyone until the end."

As Kim Jong-kook nervously broke into a sweat, Yoo Jae-suk announced, "Every New Year, people asked when Jong-kook would get married, and now he finally is," sharing the joyous news.

With guests Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Ah-young present, the members struggled to shake off the shock of 'Kim Jong-kook's marriage'. During the 'Couple Race', when they arrived at the final venue, a wedding hall, Yoo Jae-suk humorously shouted, "Are we having a wedding event for Jong-kook today? Groom Kim Jong-kook, enter!" bringing laughter to the set.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook had previously announced his marriage to a non-celebrity through his fan cafe on the 18th. The private ceremony is set to take place on September 5th in Seoul.
