Emotional Moment as Father Weeps Over Unconscious Son in JTBC's 'The Nice Guy'
Chun Ho-jin sheds tears as he apologizes to his unconscious son, played by Lee Dong-wook.

On the 22nd episode of JTBC's 'The Nice Guy' (directed by Song Hae-sung, Park Hong-soo; written by Kim Woon-kyung, Kim Hyo-seok), viewers witnessed a heart-wrenching scene where Park Sil-gon (Chun Ho-jin) becomes emotional seeing his son Park Seok-cheol (Lee Dong-wook) lying unconscious.

In this episode, Park Sil-gon enters the hospital room where his son is lying and holds his hand tightly. Park Seok-cheol had lost consciousness after being stabbed, prompting Yoon Byung-soo (Kim Do-yoon) to search for the culprit. As Park Seok-cheol remained unconscious, Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung) stayed by his side, and it was then that Park Sil-gon arrived at the hospital.

Kang Mi-young stepped out of the room to give father and son some privacy, waiting outside with Park Seok-hee (Ryu Hye-young). Park Sil-gon, overwhelmed with emotion, looked at his unconscious son and began to cry. He said, "Your father is here," urging, "Please open your eyes," while holding Park Seok-cheol's hand.

Park Sil-gon expressed his regret, saying, "I wronged you," and lamented, "I shouldn't have led you down this path." He continued, "I haven't even apologized to you, please open your eyes," in a moment of despair. Afterward, Park Sil-gon left the room and told Kang Mi-young, "It's fortunate you're by Seok-cheol's side," entrusting her with his son's care. When Park Seok-hee offered to escort him, Park Sil-gon declined.

Meanwhile, before being stabbed, Park Seok-cheol had submitted his resignation but was involved in a car accident. Upon learning this, Kang Mi-young blamed herself for his injuries and decided to break up with him to protect him. She told Park Seok-cheol, "Let's stop seeing each other. I'm the problem," and admitted, "My situation is overwhelming."

Park Seok-cheol questioned, "Is that really the only reason? Do we really have to end it like this?" Despite his pleas, Kang Mi-young's decision was firm. Park Seok-cheol responded, "If it gets tough, come back. I'll wait for you." Tragically, Park Seok-cheol was later attacked by assailants and stabbed while trying to save Kang Mi-young.
