Kim Seung-soo and Yang Jung-a's On-Screen Romance Ends After 9 Months

On the November 1st episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling' (known as 'Miwoosae'), Kim Seung-soo visited a psychological counseling center and confessed to feeling depressed. He shared, "I feel down every day. I wish tomorrow wouldn't come," and admitted to having thoughts of leaving everything behind. He also revealed that although he rarely gets angry, he once lost his temper on set two years ago.
Kim Seung-soo spoke about the burden of responsibility he has carried since losing his father at a young age. Despite having 2,000 contacts saved on his phone, he surprised viewers by admitting he has no one to confide in.

Yang Jung-a, who was introduced as a close friend of 20 years, became part of the show's official couple with Kim Seung-soo, engaging in sweet gestures like going on trips, celebrating birthdays, and exchanging gifts. Despite this, their relationship did not progress beyond the show, leading to some viewers expressing skepticism about the authenticity of their romance.

Although Kim stated he has no personal contacts, he did not explicitly address his relationship with Yang, leaving room for 'Miwoosae' to potentially revisit their storyline. However, given the perceived lack of authenticity in their on-screen romance, it seems unlikely that viewers will welcome another round of their scripted interactions.
