JTBC's New Drama 'Everyone is Fighting Their Worthlessness' Explores the Complex Dynamics of a Famous Film Group

JTBC's upcoming weekend drama 'Everyone is Fighting Their Worthlessness' features a group of renowned filmmakers, except for Koo Kyo-hwan. This group, known as the '8-member club,' includes Oh Jung-se, Kang Mal-geum, Jeon Bae-soo, Shim Hee-seop, Bae Myung-jin, Jo Min-guk, Park Ye-ni, and Koo Kyo-hwan.

The drama follows the journey of a man struggling with jealousy and frustration amidst his successful friends, as he seeks inner peace. At the heart of the story is the '8-member club,' a group of college film club alumni who have become well-known figures in the industry. All members are thriving, except for Hwang Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), who has been dreaming of becoming a film director for 20 years.

Hwang Dong-man, the only member who hasn't debuted, is known for his loud critiques of films. While he is a source of inspiration for some, his endless monologues can be overwhelming. Park Kyung-se (played by Oh Jung-se) is a successful director with five films under his belt, yet he is still affected by Hwang Dong-man's words.

Go Hye-jin (played by Kang Mal-geum), the head of Go Park Films, supports Park Kyung-se and maintains the group's meeting place with her charismatic presence. She handles Hwang Dong-man's rants with patience but is quick to set boundaries. Park Young-soo (played by Jeon Bae-soo), the eldest and a director, helps mediate conflicts within the group.

The production team promises that the intricate stories of the '8-member club' will offer unexpected entertainment and emotional depth. They invite viewers to anticipate the raw performances of the eight actors in their shared space.

'Everyone is Fighting Their Worthlessness' premieres on November 18 at 10:40 PM.
